Leafs are still perfect all-time in Seattle and undefeated on this road trip (3-0-0). Marner returned to line up and picked up career assist 500.
Mitch Marner became the fourth player in franchise history to reach the 500-assist milestone, and the first one who's surname doesn't start with "S" (Salming, Sittler, Sundin). Only three other players in the past 30 years have got there in fewer games than Marner (629 GP), Connor McDavid (527 GP), Sidney Crosby (554 GP) and Forsberg (551 GP).
Leafs are getting healthy at the right time, especially with the upcoming break. The East playoff race is so incredibly tight.
Stolarz returned to action Thursday night, for the first time since he left early on Dec 12 vs Anaheim with his knee injury and subsequent surgery. And he did not disappoint, a few beauty saves and a near goose egg. Stopping 26 of 27 shots. Although he's only started 18 games, his GAA is 2.08 and SV% is .929. Based on goalies with 18 starts this season, he's number one in SV% and number two in GAA (Hellebuyck 2.04).
I will tee up Leafs/Canucks on Saturday morning.
