Mitch Marner returns to the site of what I'm calling "the pass", can I trademark it?
Marner has 2G, 9A in his last 4 games against Boston. Since the start of 16-17 season, Marner has more points against the Bruins (44) than anybody else. Crosby is next at 34. Leafs had a most triumphant weekend. Swept Saturday and Sunday and head into tonight's game 10-3-0 in their last 13 on the road, best away record in NHL since Dec 18. Bruins are in a tough spot, outside of the playoff picture, amongst the log jam chasing the two wild card spots. Bruins haven't missed playoffs since 15-16.
The injury bug has bitten them. McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm are out on defence. Outside of the Four Nations, McAvoy missed 7 games after an injury in mid-January. Boston 0-2-1 last 3 games, each loss by 1G, they've scored 3 or fewer goals in each of their last 4 games and they're 2-4-1 in their last 7GP
Leafs are 2-0-1 against Bruins this season, OTL was in Boston. Stolarz shutout Boston on November 5 in Toronto.
As we know, whenever the Leafs and Bruins get together, it's entertaining. Get your popcorn ready for tonight.
