We head into the NHL break with the Leafs sitting in the deuce position in the Atlantic. NHL returns on Feb 22Leafs host the Hurricanes that Saturday

Four now, yes, I meant to spell it that way.

It's Four Nations Face Off time. Teams are practicing in Montreal today. The roster deadline is at 5PM. What we know so far about replacements is this.

Drew Doughty replaces Alex Pietrangelo on Canada’s roster while Nikolas Matinpalo is in for Rasmus Ristolainen for Finland, and Jake Sanderson will replace injured Quinn Hughes for the Americans.
If Crosby can't go for Canada, I think they should replace him with Willie Nylander, a very wrestling move, and a positive rendition of the Montreal screw job.
Still no word on Captain Canada Sidney Crosby who missed the Penguins last two games with an upper body injury.

Canada plays Sweden on Wednesday in the opener. While USA dances with Finland on Thursday. Both games in Montreal.

Leafs head into the break appearing to be very healthy, with the return of Stolarz and Mitchy the Kid. Speaking of which, the Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan Super Bowl commercial was awesome.

Modern day Paul Coffey, Cale Makar comes in hot for Canada with 6G, 4A in his last 7 games. In that same span, teammate Nathan MacKinnon has 2G, 10A. Canada won't have any shortage of offence.
Saturday the 15th I have a live event radio show from Boston Pizza in Cobourg from 4-6PM, as we tee up Canada vs USA. More details to come in my columns this week.
