Avalanche right wing Mikko Rantanen was added to the NHL COVID-19 protocol list on Tuesday, joining goalie Philipp Grubauer and forward Joonas Donskoi.

Rantanen leads the Avalanche in goals with 26 in 43 games and has 52 points, one behind Nathan MacKinnon.

The Avalanche are tentatively scheduled to practice Wednesday and play in St. Louis on Thursday. The league postponed three games last Friday after Donskoi tested positive and joined Grubauer on the list, which prevents players from traveling, practicing or playing.

Rookie defenseman Bowen Byram was removed from the list on Monday following a 10-day quarantine.

The three postponed Avalanche games -- last Friday and Sunday against Los Angeles and Tuesday against St. Louis -- have yet to be rescheduled.

The idle Avalanche have fallen to second place in the West Division, two points behind the Vegas Golden Knights, who have played two more games.

The Avalanche have 13 games remaining in the regular season, including games in Vegas next Monday and Wednesday.
