The Trois-Rivieres Lions were at the DCU Center for a doubleheader against the Worcester Railers (New York Islanders) over the weekend.

Saturday: Trois-Rivieres Lions 5 – Worcester Railers 2

The Lions took a commanding lead to kick off the game with goals by Nicolas Guay, Tommy Cormier and a pair by Anthony Beauchamp though 13:58 of action. The Railers cut the lead in half with goals at the end of the first and in the second period. Guay ended the hopes of a comeback by recording an empty net goal late in the third period.

Sunday: Trois-Rivieres Lions 3 – Worcester Railers 2 (shootout)

Anthony Beauregard put Trois-Rivieres on the board late in the first period by picking up a rebound in the slot for the goal. The Railers took the lead in the second period by scoring a pair of goals in under three minutes of action. Coach and general manager Ron Choules was ejected during the middle frame after arguing with officials between whistles. Logan Nijhoff tied the score in the first minute of the third period during a power play and the result stayed the same until the end of regulation. The overtime did not settle the contest, and in the shootout, Beauregard was the lone successful shooter to complete the Lions weekend sweep.
