In what is shaping up to be an interesting offseason, the Devils acquire LW Andreas Johnsson fro:the Leafs for restricted free agent Joey Anderson.

The 25 year old winger still has three years left on his contract and is a player who could crack the second line. He makes the Devils deeper, for sure.

The Devils benefit from an apparent salary dump by the Leafs and we get the upgrade. I didn’t see Anderson more than a 3rd liner but potentially a character and role player.

This is a good trade for the Devils and gives us another option on the wing.

Fitz keeps on making moves, what’s next?
I don’t see the Devils competing for any of the huge fish left in UFA market.
