The day has finally come for the 2020 NHL 7th overall draft pick. Alexander Holtz will make his debut with the New Jersey Devils at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Devils have been dealing with the injury bug early on this season throughout the lineup and in all positions. Jack Hughes, Mackenzie Blackwood, Ty Smith and others have seen significant time on the injury list.
The Devils get a young kid that can finish and score goals. That is what they desperately need right now as the special teams on both ends, penalty kill or man down situations or power play, are simply not getting it done. Holtz’ brief stint in Utica has provided the fans with excitement and can he bring that to the New Jersey Devils?
Holtz will be able to bring the sizzle and excitement. Hopefully it is enough to gain two points tonight against the Los Angeles Kings.
Your thoughts? Will Holtz make an immediate impact for the Devils?
