Avalanche Point Streak Reaches 18 |

The Colorado Avalanche (33-8-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 to push their point streak to 18 games.
It's the longest streak in the league since 2019 when the Bruins had a 19-game streak. Colorado is 16-0-2 during this streak and not only that but they've extended their home point streak to 22 games (20-2-2).
Devon Toews, Gabriel Landeskog, and Valeri Nichushkin each had a goal for the league-best Avalanche. Colorado sits alone atop the NHL with 70 points in 45 games. Florida has 69 points in 47 games.
Darcy Kuemper made 35 saves and was superb once again. Colorado has earned at least a point in Kuemper's last 17 appearances (15-0-2).
This game had a special feeling to it. The building had to have been buzzing. These are the kind of games you have to win to be that last team standing in the spring.
Tampa gave the 'Avs all they had but Colorado held on. With the win, Colorado handed the Lightning its first one-goal regulation loss of the season and improved to 11-0-4 in one-goal games themselves.
Big night. Big win.
