Nazem Kadri Out With "Lower Body" Injury |

There's no denying how great Nazem Kadri has been this season. His 34 points (11g 23a) lead all Colorado Avalanche players. Twelve of those points (5g 7a) have come with the man advantage. So, yes there is no denying how big a part of the 'Avs success he's been.
Because he's such a big part of this team it shouldn't come as any surprise that he's injured and will miss some playing time.
Once again the 'Avs have to do what they've been doing all season long... play without their entire core. Kadri joins a long line of Colorado stars to be sidelined with an injury just this season.
Kadri is considered “day-to-day” with a lower-body injury and will miss Friday night’s home game against the Detroit Red Wings. This injury is not related to an injury he suffered earlier this month. The soon-to-be free agent was hurt late in the Rangers game. Kadri already had a goal and two assists when he left the game in Colorado's eventual 7-3 win.
So, now the 'Avs must find a way, once again, to work through another battle with the "injury bug."
The good news is this team is so darn deep. When one guy goes down it seems like another is ready to step on in. This time that guy is J.T. Compher.
Compher returns to the lineup after missing 11 games with his own injury issues. He will take Kadri's place and hopefully, the team won't skip a beat.
The 26-year-old winger has nine points (5g 4a) in 12 games played and led the team in scoring at the time of his injury. His return is definitely a welcomed one.
So for now it's the same old, same old for the 'Avs. Next man down. Next man up.
Seriously though, when will the injuries end? or at least slow down a bit... It's kinda ridiculous.
