Here is a fun stat…..

Should the Flyers be unable to score tomorrow night against Utah? They will jump into a tie for second all time for games consecutively shut out and be the first team since 1967-67 to be shut out four times in a row

The overall NHL record is eight games in a row step by the Blackhawks 97 years ago…four teams have been shut out four times as well..

The Oakland Seals in 67-68
The Pittsburgh Pirates Hockey team in 28-29
And the Habs and the Rangers both in 27-28

Of course it’s worth noting that the rules were very different back then. For example, you weren’t allowed to pass forward. You can only pass backwards and skate with the puck…. So yeah, that’s probably harder to score….

Personally, I feel Utah could be in for a barrage tomorrow night, as the team is very frustrated and ready to take it out on someone…..

Anyway… there you have it…

On more Flyers Trades….
From what I’m told around the league, the Flyers are still very much in conversation with many teams about many possibilities, and I feel there’s a better than 60% chance that we will see another trade before the deadline may be possibly before the 4 nations…

I do not get the impression that it’ll be Ristolainen…. His game has improved and his cap ihit is very doable for a top 4 D..
