Last night, New Jersey was definitely due after the Flyers had taken them to town in two games. Following up on his rough game in Philly, Jake Allen was all the better and one of the stars of the night last night in Jersey….

Bring on the Islanders.

I’m going to call this game the first “must-win” for the Flyers heading down the stretch given the Islanders are one point behind them in the standings, but have three games in hand…. New York have also won five in a row, so this will be a challenge for sure, Especially coming on a back-to-back. This is the kind of game that’ll show if the Flyers are really serious about a playoff run or not.

Bo Horvat has four goals and two assists in the last five games for the Isles. Ilya Sorokin has only given up four goals in the last four games. One of those games was against the Flyers, where he only allowed one goal on the Island. However, five games ago, Sorokin gave up four goals to the Flyers when the Flyers won in Philly 5-3.

Thirty-four-year-old Anders Lee leads the Islanders with 39 points, which is only 5 points ahead of Twenty-year-old Matvei Michkov, and 19 points behind the leading point-getter for the Flyers, Travis Konecny.

Talking to a source tonight and tomorrow, I will have an update on Rasmus Ristolainen and the trade deadline…. So look for that in my article tomorrow morning….

What say you….
