i’ll be back later with a blog about tonight‘s game, but I thought first we should start here…

For some reason team Canada never seems to give the flyers forwards the respect they deserve when they’re in juniors. There are two players on team Canada, who played this year in the NHL. One is on the first line and it’s definitely a huge part of the team and the other is on the fourth line and that would be Jet Luchakno…..

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this. The Flyers were really upset with team Canada years ago when Travis Konecny got fourth line minutes as well… and looking back on that team, Travis was definitely one of the top players and had a good tournament. Making the most of his limited ice time.

Couple things I saw that I liked though in Jets game. He was definitely using his speed and showed a real and good feisty side too. He also had and incredible penalty kill at the end when Finland pulled their goalie and had a 66 on 4.. Team Canada’s penalty killers got stuck out for a really long shift, but Jet was directing traffic, while also picking up open Fins bye tying them up before they could get off dangerous shots. So “head on a swivel” stuff.

It’s gonna be interesting to see how he’s used as the tournament goes along…

Back later to get our ducks in a row….
