The Vancouver Giant lives up to his team’s namesake. The 6’3”, 186lb left-shot who plays both left wing and center certainly looks like he’ll fill out further. Honzek improved as the 2022-2023 WHL regular season carried on and finished with 23 goals and 56 points in 43 games.

Take a look at some highlights. The big Slovak loves to change gears to put defenders on their heels. Combine that with some extreme acceleration and he is a major handful to stop. Great hands, big shot — much like fellow Slovak center Adam Ruzicka, it seems consistency is his only question.



So an intriguing combination of size, skill and speed. More to come.
