“It's been an odd year," said Garland. "A lot of stuff has happened, and we're still in the dogfight. We're pretty proud of our group where we are with the adversity we've faced, and some of the injuries we've had.
“We were just hanging on, but we've put ourselves in a spot to kind of control our own destiny. We had a really tough stretch, as all the teams do, but we'll be really proud of ourselves if we play some good hockey and give ourselves a chance.”
“We're in a race,” Tocchet said. “We should be excited about this. I told you guys, we should embrace this and have some fun with it. But tomorrow, we have to work.”

Ek has decided to not fully pay or communicate with me. He only paid me half last month, saying it was because of the December outage and he'd make it up to me this month on top of the normal amount. He didn't, only sending a half month, and is just ignoring emails and PMs. I'm tired of trying to get at him for it. Not the first time. Until he does I'll reset the blogs so we don't fall off the front page, but I'm not spending my time writing for his site. Hope you understand!
