Good evening, everyone. I apologize for the late post on game day; it was a crazy day for me and I just lost track of time. Lucky for me, there wasn’t much to recap as the Hawks dropped the opening game of their three-game road trip to the Kings 6-2.
The next two games are going to pretty much copy and paste the same story. First up are the Ducks. The last time these teams met, the Hawks went off for a 7-2 victory and even got a little bit in the muck with a nice little line brawl. I do not expect any world-class hockey tonight as both teams are battling for moral victories as they are both in the mix for Celebrini. If you opt out of staying up late for this one, no one will blame you.
Projected Line Up
Soderblom is in the starter’s crease for the Blackhawks against the Ducks, and here are the lines:
I am happy to see Foligno back on the top line with Bedard and Kurashev. They had been showing great chemistry together, and I wasn’t a fan of splitting them up in the first place, but I understood the move. I also really like the fact that Slaggert is moving up to the third line with Dickinson and Anderson. This is the role I kind of expect him to play if his career develops, as some are projecting. The Dickinson/Anderson combo has been a big spark plug line, and while losing Blackwell on that line is a bummer, it's next man up, and I am excited for the kid.
That’s going to be it from me, again I am sorry for the late and short blog. As Always, Lets Go Hawks!
