The Columbus Blue Jackets held on and upset the Vegas Golden Knights for the first win of the road trip by the final score of 2-1 in overtime.
Period I
Less than five minutes into the first, the fortress lit up with the best offensive stretch of the career of Vegas forward Tomas Hertl. The forward has goals in 9 of his last 10 games; his 20th of this regular season. Forward Pavel Dorofeyev and defender Nicolas Hauge had the assists on the only home goal.
Adam Fantilli evened the game at one with 96 seconds remaining in the opening frame for the forwards 15th goal of the campaign from Dmitry Voronkov. The winger identically matched his last season numbers with his at 18 goals and 16 asssits with the helper on Fantilli’s tying goal.
