Adam Boqvist had four points in his last five missing the most recent road game in Minnesota.

Jack Roslovic has four points against the Oilers.

Joonas Korpisalo has three wins in his past four.

The Blue Jackets picked up three of a possible four points over the weekend, with a regulation win against the Edmonton Oilers and an overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild.

CBJ P59 - Kids Game

The Columbus Blue Jackets hold onto the game and rock the rink for the 2023 kids game over the Edmonton Oilers, 6-5 in regulation.

Kirill Marchenko opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season 74 seconds into the game. Johnny Gaudreau and Boone Jenner had the helpers.

Jenner extended the Columbus lead 93 seconds into the second period of the power play for his 18th goal of the season. Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic had the assists.

Marchenko doubled his goal on the afternoon with his 16th from Gaudreau.

Laine recorded his 17th of a quick wrist shot over the goalie's glove from Adam Boqvist and Roslovic.

Edmonton fired back with four quick goals.

Warren Foegele registered his 11th goal of the season and was unassisted.

Leon Draisaitl potted his 36th of the season from Connor McDavid and Tyson Barrie.

All Star McDavid had his 47th of the season from Brett Kulak.

McDavid evened the game with his second of the period and 48th of the season from Kulak and Barrie.

Roslovic scored his fifth goal of the season from Laine and Kent Johnson.

Roslovic had his second of the game and sixth of the season from Gavin Bayreuther.

Zach Hyman scored his 28th of the year from McDavid and Darnell Nurse.

All Star Leon Draisaitl was my Edmonton Oilers player to watch, having his 36th goal of the campaign and 290th career goal.

Jack Campbell had 10 saves on 14 shots for a 0.714 save percentage. All Star Stuart Skinner had 10 saves on 12 shots for a 0.833 save percentage.

Johnny Gaudreau was my Blue Jackets player to watch, recording his first points since his return from injury, now earning 39 assists in his first year with Columbus.

Joonas Korpisalo had 42 saves on 47 shots for a 0.874 save percentage.

CBJ THREE STARS OF THE GAME

2. Kirill Marchenko -- 2 goals (16)

3. Patrik Laine -- goal (17), 2 assists (21)

CBJ P59 -- Kirill

The Minnesota Wild pull a comeback on the Columbus Blue Jackets highlighted by a Kirill Kaprizov natural hat trick by the final score of 3-2 in overtime.

Mathieu Olivier opened the scoring with his fifth goal with Columbus from Eric Robinson.

Liam Foudy had his second career NHL goal from Erik Gudbranson and Emil Bemstrom.

This concluded the Columbus goal scoring in Minnesota.

Kirill Kaprizov ended the shutout hopes with his 35th of the season from Jared Spurgeon and Ryan Hartman. Kaprizov's 36th and game tying goal came from Matthew Boldy and Joel Erikkson Ek. The winner from Kaprizov occurred with 20 seconds remaining in extra time for his 37th. The assists were by Callen Addison and Mats Zuccarello.

Matthew Boldy had his 24th assist and 40th point of the season as my Minnesota Wild player to watch.

Marc-Andre Fleury had 22 saves on 24 shots for a 0.917 save percentage.

Jack Roslovic had 2 shots and blocks in 15:45 TOI.

Elvis Merzlikins had 41 saves on 44 shots for a 0.932 save percentage.

This is the second meeting of the season against the Sabres for the Jackets. Last time they played was at home, highlighted by a five goal performance from Tage Thompson.

Buffalo is an offensive dynamo, and is looking at buying this deadline. Yesterday they acquired defender Riley Stillman from the Vancouver Canucks for forward Josh Bloom. Yesterday, the Sabres signed and waived goalie Michael Houser to a league minimum contract. They have also been conntected to Vladislav Gavrikov and Boone Jenner in the past; I don't see either move here.

They are a strong skilled team despite losing Alex Tuch to injury for weeks. They are on the cusp of something great.

For the lineups, no Tuch and Dahlin for Buffalo and it is expected to be Craig Anderson as the starter.

For Columbus, Billy Sweezey was recalled as Adam Boqvist is out day to day with his third injury of the season. The club has also announced they have activated forwards Yegor Chinakov and Carson Meyer from the injured reserve and have been sent to Cleveland on a conditioning assignment. Joonas Korpisalo is in the crease.
