The Columbus Blue return to the ice tonight for their second and final meeting against the Dallas Stars at 7:30pm in their premiere on ESPN for the 2023-2024 season.

Columbus and Dallas played each other on October 30, in a 5-3 loss in the heart of Texas.

This game had the first goals in Columbus for Dmitry Vokornov and Damon Severson; while the former Columbus forward Matt Duchene had his first as a member of the Dallas Stars.

Dallas continues to contend amongst the top of the Western Conference through the early going, but I still have them right at the top for a strong playoff run and push. This team is layered with depth in every position.

For the Dallas lineup, forwards Matt Duchene and Radek Faksa have been battling injuries from games over the weekend. It is expected Jake Otteinger is the starter.

Columbus rides on without Patrik Laine, having been out since the Andersson hit; and it’s expected that Spencer Martin finally gets a start in the crease on home ice.
