CBJ PG14 @ Detroit Red Wings — Showcase |
The Columbus Blue Jackets have a quick turnaround on the ice this afternoon with a Veteran’s Day showcase against the Detroit Red Wings in their first time at Little Caesars Arena this season.
Columbus and Detroit played each other on October 16th in Spencer Martin’s starting debut as a Blue Jacket - to a shutout. Ghost, Larkin, Rasmussen, and Copp had the goals; meanwhile, it was James Reimer’s first win as Wing.
Columbus must get at least one goal scored against the Wings. There has to be a response after getting shrieked on home ice.
After losing earlier in the week in national television, they cannot lose twice. Having the least amount of wins in the east at 4 in 13 games, they need to respond and get back in the win column. Not a good look for the rookie coach in Pascal Vincent if the slump continues.
The Blue Jackets only road win is against Minnesota and that was on October 21. No wins on the road against the East. Only win against the Atlantic is with Tampa. Three game losing streak with one overtime loss. Columbus needs wins and points before they are right back where they were last season.
