The culture vibes game. The Columbus Blue Jackets are back on the ice this evening for a showdown with the old bench boss when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers from the city of brotherly love. Puckdrop is at 5:30 on CSN and Bally Sports.

Columbus continues their losing ways after a nail biter in Washington on Saturday night, seeing Alexander Ovechkin make NHL history and Boone Jenner make CBJ history.

This is the second matchup of the season for the two, last playing on opening night in a regulation loss for the home Jackets.

The Flyers continue to ride a stronger start than expected with the returns of veterans Sean Couturier and Cam Atkinson; nearly traded Travis Sanhiem becoming a success; and Owen Tippett and the kids being guided by the Torts’ ways, similarly to that in Columbus.

Carter Hart has also been strong when healthy.

In Columbus, the stars cannot find a way to score and the goaltending has stunk. Their offense has come from their defense. The kids aren’t getting it done. The stars have next to no success this season. The mix isn’t working when the management calls this a playoff team. Hard to see that when they’re stuck in the basement.
