Mason Marchment had his 13th of the campaign to tie the game from Lian Bischel and Maverick Bourque.

Period II

Adam Fantilli had the go ahead goal for Columbus with his career high 16th of the season from Dmitry Voronkov and Kirill Marchenko.

Logan Stankoven answered back a minute and five seconds later to once again bring the game back to even for his career high seventh goal of the year; Mikael Granlund had his first point with the Stars.

Ivan Provorov brought the lead back to the Blue Jackets for his fourth of the season and ninth with the club; Mikael Pyyhita and Justin Danforth had the assists.

Wyatt Johnston capitalized on the powerplay for 15th goal of the regular season with the assists gone to Thomas Harley and Jason Robertson.

Period III

Evgenii Dadanov got the Stars’ their first lead evening for his 14th of the campaign from Harley and Ilya Lyubushkin.

Dadonov had his second of the game and 15th this season from Johnston and Jamie Benn.

Dallas — Mikael Granlund had his first point with the Stars; his 31st assist of the season.

Columbus — Ivan Provorov had his fourth goal of the season; his ninth of the regular season; and 74th of his career. Led with 29:30 in ice time; half the game almost.

Goaltenders

Casey DeSmith had 3 goals in 30 shots against for a 0.900 save percentage.

Elvis Merzlikins had 34 saves on 39 shots for a 0.872 save percentage.

Marchenko Injury

The core injuries are worsening for the Jacksts as Marchenko suffered a broken jaw against Dallas and is to miss 6-8 weeks.

With no Monahan and no Marchenko, this puts the Jackets at a crossroads; keep going or sell. Jenner and Chinakov are practicing, so help is on the way as well. Trade deadline is March 7. Let time decide.
