Period I
Kirill Marchenko opened the scoring 75 seconds into the game for the winger’s 29th of the regular season courtesy of Zach Werenski.
Adam Fantilli followed up with 15 minutes later on a highlight tic tac toe goal for his career high 23rd goal of the year from Denton Mateychuk and Kent Johnson.
Sean Monahan fired the cannon for third time in the first period a minute and a half later for his 15th with the Blue Jackets. His powerplay goal was supported by Johnson and Werenski.
Filip Forsberg closed the shutout hopes for the winger’s 29th goal of the regular season from Luke Evangelista and Ryan O’Reilly 24 seconds after the Monahan goal.

Marchy regained the three goal lead for the home team with his first ever 30-goal season; Monny had the loan apple.

Marchenko potted the hat-trick for his 31st and the assists went to Monny and Fabbro.
Jordan Oesterle had his second of the regular season from Cole Smith and Michael McCarron.
