Apologies for being away, have been dealing with personal matters. Life is a roller coaster. Ups, downs twists, and turns, loops and upside downs. But we are all along for the ride.
Continuing down the list of player profiles is the waiver claim of the season in forward Lane Pederson.
Lane Pederson is the definition of a suitcase player, serving for three WHL teams, four AHL teams, and four NHL teams in the last 10 years.
The center had 140 points in 199 WHL games between Seattle, Red Deer, and Swift Current.
The right handed shooter also currently has 166 points in 227 games played between Tuscon, San Jose, Chicago, and Abbotsford.
Pederson, 25, is an undrafted free agent signing by the Arizona Coyotes from the summer of 2016. He did not make the main roster for the Coyotes until the 2020-2021 season, scoring his first NHL goal with Arizona.
Pederson was part of the package that sent Adin Hill in a trade to the San Jose Sharks in an attempt to make the post season.
With that not happening, he was traded the next summer in the Brent Burns package to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Having not played with the main roster, his services were moved once again moved from the Hurricanes to the Vancouver Canucks along with defender Ethan Bear.
Months after, Columbus claimed him during the Pacific Northwest with the injuries occurring during the trip. In 16 games, he had his season career high two goals in a season. Pederson also had a career high shooting percentage at 16% and a winning Face-off percentage at 57%.
The Saskatoon native is a pending restricted free agent, and could either be suited for Cleveland or the sixth organization in the last two years. He is a fourteenth forward on most rosters, or a top line AHL man.

Blue Jackets’ alumni Kevin Stenlund and Sam Gagner got their lick of playoff action with Winnipeg against the Vegas Golden Knights, being eliminated in five games.
Kevin Stenlund had a goal in game two, his second career postseason goal.
