The Columbus Blue Jackets and Cleveland Monsters have unveiled their 2024-2025 regular season schedules.

The preseason runs from September 23-October 4, 2024. This upcoming preseason there are no split squad series games. The Jackets play three Eastern Conference teams and one from the Western Conference. They have the Buffalo Sabres; Pittsburgh Penguins; Washington Capitals; and St. Louis Blues.

The regular season starts October 10, 2024 and ends April 17, 2025.

Columbus opens on the road, being part of two home openers- Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche. Columbus and Minnesota have both of their matchups in the first five games of the year, and won’t play each other again until 2025-2026. After the first two road games, they have a four game homestand.

The Union Blue’s first home game of the campaign starts against the defending Stanley Cup champions - the Florida Panthers. Afterward, they get Buffalo, Minnesota, and Toronto.

They got a road game in Nashville and come back home to close October against the defending Western Conference champion Oilers and end with the Islanders.

November starts with Winnipeg at home. They then have their yearly Pacific southwest trip; however, it has its first back to back of the year. After the Jets game on November 1st, they begin a five game road trip in Washington, D.C. Then, they head west for San Jose, Los Angeles, Anaheim, and finally Seattle.

Columbus comes back home for a one night clash with Pittsburgh, followed by two games north to Boston and Montreal.

There’s a Thanksgiving home stretch where the Jackets’ welcome Tampa, Carolina, Montreal, and Calgary.

December starts on the road with the Pacific Northwest trip, starting in Chicago. Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg follow in that order. A three game mid-December home clash has Philadelphia, Washington, and Anaheim.

Before Christmas, they have two of three games at home. New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Montreal. There is a home and home series after Christmas with Boston. The final game of 2024 at home is against Carolina.

The first game of 2025 is at home is against Detroit followed by St. Louis. Later in the month, they have two of three on the road - Pittsburgh; Seattle; St. Louis. They then have two in a row at home with Philly and San Jose. Columbus closes 6 of 7 on the road, including the Rangers, Islanders, Maple Leafs, Hurricanes, Kings (home), Vegas, and Utah.

February continues on the road with Dallas and Buffalo. Columbus then have four games over 20 days at home due to the All Star and Four Nations games. Utah; New York; Chicago; and Dallas. Columbus and Detroit play a back to back to close February into the Ohio Stadium game in March with the NCAA tournament holding the Nationwide Arena warm.

Going with warmth, the Jackets continue March with their Southeast trip against Tampa and Florida; followed by New York and New Jersey. The Jackets come back home with matchups against New York, New Jersey, and Florida. They close the month with three of four road games. Pittsburgh; New York; Vancouver; and Ottawa.

April completes the season with home games against Nashville and Colorado. They travel north of the border with Toronto and Ottawa. There is a three game home series with Ottawa, Buffalo, and Washington.

The final road games of the season are with Washington and Philadelphia, with the final game of 2024-2025 being at home against the New York Islanders on April 17.
