Deadline Day!

Trade News, Rumors, and Results

Update — 3:45p

Blue Jackets done.

Trey Fix-Wolansky recalled as Roslovic is gone. Will serve as 13th forward in rotation.

Zboril and Subban to Cleveland.

Update — 3p

Jack Roslovic is now joining the Rangers with Panarin, Wennberg, and Quick. A conditional 2026 4th rounder is the return. Roslovic joins the middle 6 on Broadway in the Rempeire Era. Pick becomes a third if the Rangers make it to the Cup finals.

Update — 2:30p

Andrew Peeke is moved to Boston for Jakub Zboril. JD and former first rounders these past few weeks scream revitalization project attempts by the Eastern bottom feeder. A 2027 3rd is back as well. Collecting picks. Sad to see Peeke go but this gets him closer to the cup and in a defensive system.

Update — 12:30p

Texier not in practice. Not trade related. Maintenance day.

Kane fined for unsportsmanlike like after incident against Columbus last night. Some never learn.

Provorov remains available. Tampa/Detroit

Roslovic maybe to Detroit or Carolina

Jenner unavailable

Merzlikins front quiet. Hesitant market on goalies. Expect summer or buyout.

Update — 11am — Subban to Cleveland

Columbus acquires Malcom Subban from the St. Louis Blues for future considerations. Good depth piece for the depth of the Monsters’ playoff run.

Bemstrom for Nylander and conditional sixth from before the deadline.

Former Blue Jacket Alex Wennberg was traded to New York; Anthony Duclair to Tampa Bay; and Ryan Johansen to Philadelphia.

Despite Connor McDavid earning 100 points, the Columbus Blue Jackets’ three goal first period was enough for the home team to defeat the Edmonton Oilers by the final score of 4-2 in the debut for Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick.

Period I

Mathieu Olivier opened the scoring for his third goal of the regular season with the assists to Sean Kuraly and Justin Danforth.

Alex Nylander added to the home team lead with his fifth as a Blue Jacket in seven games. Cole Sillinger had the lone assist.

Dmitry Voronkov got the final goal of the period with his 17th career goal unassisted.

Period II

Zach Hyman continues his career high goal scoring pace with his 43rd of the season with the assists to Connor McDavid and Leon Drasatil.

Period III

Corey Perry potted his fifth as an Oiler and ninth of the season from Evander Kane and Darnell Nurse.

Jack Roslovic got the empty net goal with 20 seconds remaining in the game for his sixth of the campaign from Alexandre Texier and Erik Gudbranson.

Players to Watch
