Another Columbus Blue Jacket is headed overseas, and this time it is Adam Fantilli. Fantilli got the clearance and go ahead from Blue Jackets’ medical staff and was approved by Jackets’ director of player development and Team Canada GM Rick Nash to be on the squad.
He reunited with Connor Bedard on a loaded Canada roster. He also Johnny Gaudreau and Elvis Merzlikins as notables headed to the tournament.
The Nobleton native had 27 points in 49 games for what was his rookie NHL season. He has not played a game since January 28 against the Seattle Kraken when he sustained a lacerated calf.
Gameplay begins May 10 and ends May 26.
