The Ottawa Senators are back in game action looking to snap a four game winless streak against the hottest team in hockey, the Winnipeg Jets, who are on a 10-game undefeated streak.
The Jets will dress the same lineup they used in a 2-1 overtime win against the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Jarrett Anderson-Dolan, was recalled from Manitoba of the American Hockey League on Wednesday for insurance at the position; head coach Scott Arniel said Winnipeg “had a few guys show up on the medical sheet” after the game Monday. Morgan Barron, who has missed six games, took part in the Jets morning skate Thursday but will not play.
The Senators will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen for the second straight game. Jan Jenik and Andrew Crookshank each was recalled from Belleville of the AHL on Wednesday. Brady Tkachuk, a forward, will miss his second consecutive game after being injured playing for the United States during the 4 Nations Face-Off. Josh Norris will miss his sixth consecutive game. Shane Pinto will miss his fourth straight.
Keys to Victory
1. Connors — shut down Kyle Connor and Connor Hellebuyck to get the points.
2. Depth — fight the adversity with the injuries to the core.
3. Puck Possession — Ottawa hold the better faceoff victory over Winnipeg.
