The Ottawa Senators continue their western road swing with their first matchup of the season against the Vegas Golden Knights from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Opening faceoff is around 6:07p.m. from Sin City.

This is the first matchup of the season for Mike Amadio back on the club he won the 2023 Stanley Cup with. Additionally, reports indicate Linus Ullmark is back in the crease for the Sens as reassigned Leevi Merilainen to Belleville and have recalled Cole Reinhardt per Claire Hanna of TSN.

Ullmark is 1-1-0 with Ottawa in his first two games with a 2.59GAA and a 0.914 save percentage. He has missed the previous four games with a lower body strain, which some believe to be a groin strain.

Vegas announced a seven year, $7.425M AAV extension to D Shea Theodore yesterday. Vegas is 4-2-1 to start the season, with the former Senator Mark Stone leading the way with 12 points in 7 games for a healthy start.

Both teams are looking to keep momentum going in the early stages of the season. Expect a high scoring game if both teams get powerplay time as they are both in the top 5. Biggest key for Ottawa is to possess the puck, as the Golden Knights are sixth in that department.
