OTT PG16 v Philadelphia Flyers — Puck Luck

The Ottawa Senators were unable to extend the winning streak to three, after suffering their first overtime loss of the season. The final score was Flyers with 5 to the Senators 4.

Period I

Travis Sanheim opened the scoring 2 and a half minutes into the game for his fourth of the season from Emil Andrade and Garnet Hathaway.

Brady Tkachuk tied the game at one a piece for the captain’s ninth of the season. Josh Norris had the primary assist. Travis Hamonic had the secondary assist and first point of the season. Better late than never I suppose.

Period II

Drake Batherson got the go ahead goal for the home club. Batherson’s power play goal would count as number seven in the year from Tim Stützle and Jake Sanderson.

Travis Konecny tied the game again at two all for his ninth of the campaign from Noah Cates and Nick Seeler.

Period III

Josh Norris regained the home club lead for his seventh of the regular season with the assists going to Thomas Chabot and Ridly Greig.

Adam Gaudette got another goal for Ottawa in red hot start for the center. Gaudette’s powerplay marker is bud seventh this year. The final home team goal was assisted by Chabot and Greig.

Anthony Richard answered back for his team with his second goal of the season via Bobby Brink and Egor Zamula.

Brink tied the game for the road team to record his third goal this year from Richard and Sanheim.

Overtime

Matevi Michkov potted in the game winner for his sixth if the season from Konecny and Sanheim.

Players to Watch

Philadelphia — Matevi Michkov — the Flyers’ rookie got the game winner in overtime. Michkov is on a three game point streak.

Ottawa — Zach MacEwen — the enforcer had 3 hits and shots on goal in 7:05TOI. MacEwen was also a -1.

Goaltenders

Ivan Fedetov saved 33 of 37 shots for an 0.892 save percentage. He’s been starting to string some confidence together for the Flyers.

Linus Ullmark was Swiss cheese after allowing 5 goals on 19 shots for a 0.737 save percentage
