i think it's 10, but yeah it's something like this. - OrangeBlack27
Your probably right, I vaguely remembered the actual number. Question, how does the player list the teams, is it every year he submits the teams he doesnt want to be traded to? |

rangers trade? exaggerate how well sather did
pens trade? exaggerate how well shero did
i'm sure that whatever happens with weber will be some kind of travesty, where holmgren got taken to the woodshed or something like that |

ok. so when rick nash only scored 26 goals this year and the blue jackets are a much better team, will you come back and say the BJs fleeced the rags? - OrangeBlack27

I agree with you.. and its not like Rick Nash is a slouch defensively...
This is a very good trade for you guys IMO. Dont understand Howson AT ALL. - jak521
rangers had to do something. Weber is gonna be a pain in our ass for 14 years. |

Ranger made out like bandits on this one. They kept all of their core, and added at least on paper a franchise player. What immediately leaps out is that for a bonafide star player, the return was no 1st line forwards or 1st pairing D, in performance OR in potential. There is a huge talent deficit in this trade.
Rangers will be scary next year. After Gaborik returns: Gaborik, Richards,Kreider, Nash, Hagelin, Stepan and Callahan between them will make for 2 very good top lines. With that D and that goalie, they addressed all their needs: scoring, pp, and gave up very little. |

if he gives up only the picks, he wins by a landslide. if he subs some picks with players he still probably wins. Just as long as he doesn't give up Bschenn or Couts. |

Unless there trying to see how much he was gonna cost to move forward with weber deal...... interesting - Slammed81
I guess but its gonna take more then Sergei to build an offense that can contend...Still hoping Weber will be a flyer very soon but we will have to wait and see |

Nash was a winning trade for the rangers. They stuck to their guns and Columbus had to back down. I expect the same for the flyers. Unreal that he rangers hung on to Stepan, Kreider, McDonough, and the other winger can't think of his name. Columbus continues to show how awful they are |

did the rangers loose mdz, staal, girardi or mcdonagh in this deal? don't think so. Stralman is ok, i'm not expect him to turn into bobby orr. Bickel is a good 7th defensman, so i think the rangers neeed a guy like jurcina. but defenseless? Give me a break, this is laughable. - tomburton99
Your defense is young and mostly inexperienced. They were supported by a strong defensive first supporting cast from the forwards, which they are not going to have. MDZ is still RFA, and MD is next year... Staal hasn't really proven to me that he is a Number 1 guy yet either... If your offense doesnt play as well defensively, your d-men are going to get exposed. Bank it. |

girardi is an all star, staal a former all star, mcdonagh finish in in the top 11 for norris voting last year. mdz got much better but he still needs work. but the ragers defense is intact. if you guys get weber i'll call a spade a spade. althought that seems a little tough for you to do. |
