It's more so the fact that 95% of hockey forum trolls love to troll the Leafs and their fans..... to the point half their arguments aren't even logical. - Brian Huddle

I know what the Leafs fan said to me, just like 60 goal scorer who never score 40, and Burke even said he would pick O'Reilly with the 1st Overall. Keep Denying.
Joke of the Day
2009 NHL Draft
Burke: Who is your top rated available player for the 2009 draft?
Murray: Nazem Kadri.
Burke: You want to trade for my pick or i am going to pick him before you guys. Make me an offer i can't refuse.
Murray: No.
Burke: You sure?
10 mins later...
Burke: Toronto Maple Leafs are proud to select Nazem Kadri.
Murray: Sucka!!! I had Cowen and Pajaarvi ahead of him. - NOAH_U

Start a proper rebuild, trade off Kipper and Iggy, and you'll jump a lot further than that. |

Oh, i mean Reilly. I got little mixed up with O'Reilly, the Guy who play for the Avalanche and The one who is going to be acquire by the Leafs for Komi and Kadri. |

I love how that conversation gets turned around all the time. Won't deny Murray may have bluffed him, but Burke was looking to trade down and still select Kadri. Kadri was his guy, likely because of that tenacity he showed in junior. Just like Brad Ross was his guy the following season. That's just the type of forward he likes. So he asked Murray who he was taking with his next pick, Murray said Kadri, which obviously meant Burke couldn't move down. If that convo wasn't mic'd we never would've heard a thing about it.
Is the 60 goal scorer Kessel? Man, so we have some Leaf fans that are a bit fanboyish. But seriously, who do you think bemoans the kessel trade more than anyone? Our own (frank)ing fanbase. We are our team's biggest critics. Burke can't even take a piss without us critiqueing it. If your goal is to troll a fanbase that's in love with its team, you've really missed the mark. Leaf fans are the most apathetic bunch I know. We expect the worse, because 9 times out of 10, thats the hand we get dealt. So, in other words, (frank) OFF!

I'm so getting banned today....I can just feel it. Wife kept me up all weekend with her pregnancy woes, and now, I have no idea how I'm going to deal with the lack of sleep I'm going to be facing when my kid arrives in 4 months. |

I think Management wants to see how our team does with a new coach before pulling the trigger on those kinds of moves.
Personally, I'm not against a rebuild but I don't think that now is the time to do it. Let's see how things sit at the TDL. |

I've actually never heard anyone refer to kessel as a 60 goal scorer only 40 and right now I'd take kadri over PRV maybe not Cowan but kadri still has more upside then those two.

I call him $cott 'Money' Wedgewood, for a reason.
I like Wedge a lot, think he's probably the best in the Devils system. Plays a lot like Brodeur, very unorthodox hybrid style. Has a slim stance like a Nabokov, but pops into a lot of pad stacks and such.
I think he's a potential starting goalie-- not an All-Star, but a guy who can give competitive goaltending and play 50-60 a year. |
