I was watching L'Épicerie this weekend because I'm a (frank)ing loser and they had a report on the SAQs buying practices.

It seems they regulate the selling price and tag the purchase price to it (not vice versa) so if they sell a particular bottle for $20 and they buy it at $15, if the supplier tells them they can now have it at $10, they will say "no, becasue we need to sell it at $20 so we will keep paying you $15.

I love it. One of the best stouts on the market, and found pretty much everywhere.

for wine generally a couple of bucks. on liquor it's pretty close.

never bought beer from LCBO though
