Darcy has never traded a player on his team who was signed for more than one season, the only guys he will trade are in the final contract year and prospects. He is not a great GM.

id say Vanek is a "star" player..just doesnt always show his "star"-ness...but point taken as far as the cap is concerned, we pay average players above average salary

It's easier for teams with big markets or pockets to manage the Cap, if darcy had the ability to front load contracts much like the erhoff contract cap hits for pominville, and miller would be different.

Go to a place called WGR550 it's a radio station, they interview players, coaches and the GM even the owner and president of the Buffalo Sabres hockey team of the NHL, you can listen to interviews and you can hear Darcy say that.

If Darcy gives up Ennis you will get Ryan forget all the other crap offers, it starts with Ennis. Darcy has no balls and won't part with Ennis, gotta give to get. We would be weaker at center if we move Ennis but Ryan is worth the risk IMO.

Sometime I feel like I'm the only Sabres fan who actually listens to Darcy and Lindy in press conferences and in the buffalo newspaper, even the goofballs at WGR don't even listen to their own stations interviews. I've been studying Lindy and Darcy for years, I listen to every thing they say and try to comprehend the insane words.

Darcy never said that, I know the interview your talking about, He will trade players if given the means. Dude offered 100 million each to suter and parise. These deals are never easy to finish, but Darcy's track record speaks for itself, dude makes alot more good moves than bad. oh btw i think you accidentally hit the caps lock button........ may wanna check that out

didnt see the comment he made. i agree to an extent about the not listening part. but theres always circumstances where he could/would change his mind regarding trading "core" players for top-end talent. If ennis gets you ryan, that should be done yesterday.
