That's a brutal offer for a young 40 goal scorer. Just because he wants out that doesn't mean Murray is going to take the first half-assed offer that comes his way. This isn't Nash. He's got a more affordable contract and no trade restrictions as far as I know. Someone will give up a lot for him.

IMO these are the Sabres comparables to the Nash Trade.

Dubinsky - Ennis/Hodgson
Anisimov - Foligno
Erixon - Sekera/Pysyk
+ a first.

It just so happens that the NYR are loaded and can afford to give that up.

I think you might be off a little. Dubinsky is a 3rd liner / Anisimov is a 20 goal scorer / Erixon is an unproven prospect with an upside - comparing him to Pysyk might be close. NYR stole this trade

I'm making an assumption but I think it's more likely than not that he becomes that. He's scored over 30 in every full season he's had in the NHL.
