Lupul 6'1", Colborne 6'5", Kessel 6'

Komarov 5'11", Steckel 6'6", Brown 5'11"
Frattin(injured) Extra-Orr
They forced Bozak into the first line center role. They need size on the top line they might as well throw Colborne in there and see what he can do. Lupul and Kessel are still going to produce

I think if the whole scenario of JVR at center, if that does not work out i can see carlyle fiddling with colborne or kadri. |

Or he'll just go back to what worked before, which was using Bozak. |

What has Colborne or Kadri done to warrant the first line center role?
Are people forgetting that Bozak has proven he can play in that position when needed?
Somehow 2 unproven prospects are slotted in there before Bozak? Why?! |

Kadri is just hoping he can crack the line up while realistically Colborne doesn't have a chance this year unless he really picks up his game the first half of the season with the Marlies and gets lucky with an injury happening to someone on the big club. |

Holy geezus did you see twitter? There going nuts about Getzlaf and Bobby Ryan to the leafs
Example:
Rumour_Express @InsiderLegit
@NHL_rumor_mill Sources tells me the offer is Komisarek, Lupul, 2013 1st, Kadri, Colborne and 2013 2nd. Also Ryan and Getzlaf are the (cont)
and hes not the only one talking about both of them being traded to us |

I highly doubt the ducks need to move getzlaf, which they wont. It will ruin the relationship with perry then and thus he will want to leave while bobby ryan is already leaving as well. Ruins the team. While trading bobby ryan makes sense so they can attain a 2nd line centerman, maybe a defender, and some assets to help fill some gaps in for the team. |

I'm so used to missing the playoffs now that I hope they do finish in 30th and draft that MacKinnon kid. |

How many legit chances have they had?
Are people forgetting Bozak scored 47 points last year despite having two guys carry him all year long?
Somehow, a rebuilding team is never allowed to give their young players or prospects a chance to show they can be an improvement over 3rd liners like Bozak. |

But, in true Maple Leafs fashion, they're probably going to have to settle for something else because Columbus is bad as can be right now while the Oilers and the Islanders are in very tough divisions. |

He proved he could be a decent stopgap but he also proved he isn't a number 1 center. |

The Oilers will probably draft 1st again. Wouldn't be surprised to see Columbus improve a fair amount over last year with Nash gone. New players and new leadership could be a benefit there. The Islanders? Man, how can a team with that talent suck so bad year after year?
At this point, I hope we don't make any trades and roll with what we have. Unless we can bring in a legit 1st line center. |

To break down the nash trade....
Dubinsky=Bozak
Anismov=Macarthur
1st Rounder= ours probably not 2013 prob 2014 or a decent prospect (colborne? biggs? ashton?)
Tim Erixon= One of Franson, Holzer, Blacker, Percy
Would probably me similar of a trade for Bobby Ryan... add a soft pick to that collection then theres probably a deal |

If I'm Anaheim I rebuild now, sign and sell with those players and Ryan they could really have a great rebuild. |

The Oilers are far more likely to improve than the Blue Jackets are. Realistically, the Blue Jackets were far worse than the Oilers this year and they just lost Rick Nash. Things are going downhill for the Blue Jackets and uphill for the Oilers. But the Oilers could still be close depending on injuries and how much tougher their division is going to be this year.

Dubinsky>Bozak
Macarthur>Ansimov but I suppose it balances out.
But Ryan has a much higher value than Nash, because he is younger, cheaper, doesn't have a NTC. |

Thats up to the GM and the players of getzlaf and perry. If they want to leave the GM has no other choice but to do a rebuild. If they stay, the GM is going to use bobby ryan to fill in the gaps on their team. |
