It's 7M for one year. It's a calculated risk. If they win they win huge and if they lose, well it won't be reflected in their cap in the future. I think he'll play great, especially because it will be a contract year. He'll work his ass off to get that big contract and then be lazy again. That's how I derived at my previous statement

His last two contracts before this one have been one year deals. If he can't get motivate playing with fellow country man ovechkin the last couple of years on one year deals....I'm not sure the Staal brothers are going to have an 80 point effect on him.

you really dont know how slow my job is currently! Although I may have a new job starting in a few weeks if I got the job...something Ive been trying to acquire for awhile. Looking forward to it, although it will mean all my blogs will be done from home
