That's because CNN was making him hold his crazy back... and that crazy was probably a big part of why he wound up leaving CNN and joining up with Fox.
Also, who was bashing Glenn Beck for saying that about the Arab Spring? Many people felt the same way. - Feeling Glucky?
Your hero, Jon Stewart for one, lampooned him mercilessly when he was predicting the Muslim Brotherhood would hijack the uprising in Egypt, and that Arab countries would seek to unite and move toward forming a caliphate.
You said the mere mention of the term "social justice" put you in marxist territory. I said that was laughable. What's so hard to understand? - Morris
No I asked you
"So you support the Mayor/Premier/Prime Minister/Governor/President forcing their ideological views on the free market..............encouraging those they support and hindering those that don't???"

First of all, you said "social justice" = marxism. I said that was laughable, and then you responded with that question.
The fact that you begin the question with "So" led me to believe you were making some kind of inference based on my dismissal of your "social justice" = marxism stance. I still fail to see how the two are connected.
I don't believe in anyone "forcing their ideological views on the free market [excessive elipses omitted], encouraging those they support and hindering those they [sic] don't".
I don't see any evidence of that happening though.

Political and religious POVs are not a valid reasons. - Doppleganger
They can reject it citing any number of reasons, I'm sure. Building code, by-laws, I’m sure they could find lots of reasons. They can probably reject just about any license application, for a pile of reasons. They are under no obligation to be easy to work with.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wrote a letter to Dan Cathy urging him to back out of plans to open a restaurant in Boston.
He said "There is no place for discrimination along Boston's Freedom Trail and no place for your company alongside it,". There is ZERO evidence that Chic Fi a discriminates in any fashion.
The Mayor, along with the left wing progressives trisected Dan Cathy's support for traditional marriage, to mean he and his company therefore must be discriminating those who don't share his POV, and there is no evidence to support that accusation.
The Mayor also said publicly "if they need licenses in the city, it will be very difficult -- unless they open up their policies." Which is to say, change your life long religious beliefs and take on those that I (the Mayor) support.

And you're okay with that????
So if the ACC wanted to keep out fans who where wearing Habs jerseys, but couldn't do it legally............so they instead just diverted them to security for a body cavity search, you're okay with that too I suppose?

If those pesky "left wing progressives" are guilty of "trisecting" Cathy's beliefs to create false accusations, then you are guilty of much the same thing in your bolded. You cannot substantiate that that is what he is asking Cathy to do. You cannot substantiate that the mayor has legally forced any opinion on anyone. You have no evidence.

Do you see the Habs-Leafs rivalry on par with the gay marriage debate in terms of importance? Do Habs fan have any particular opinions on what rights Leafs fans should or should not have?

I’m just wondering what we can come up with for dirty Sens fans. We can get much more creative than cavity searches, can’t we?

Did I say worst thread ever before? Sorry. I meant to say, "GODAWFUL WHALE ABORTION RIVALED ONLY BY THE YANNI/JOHN TESH DUET IN AWFULNESS." - GuyLaDouche
I think it's probably winding down.
When everyone's words get twisted, the thing becomes "bigots who hate gays vs. communists who hate freedom". It's not productive. Dopple isn't a bigot, he should probably know that I'm not a freedom-hater. However, we've pigeonholed each other enough now that we're going around in circles.

Listen, I said he threatened to make life difficult for him, or hinder his attempts to operate in Boston. I also pointed out pages ago that legally the Mayor, or any government official can't do what theses mayors have been spouting off about. I've also pointed out that they've all had to do some back pedalling on the matter, as their legal advisers probably advised them to do so, as there was one council member of one of the cities that was going to take legal action against one of the mayors.
I don't know what you're trying to prove, but the point remains that these Left wing progressive Mayors are talking about using economic bullying to hurt Chick fil a from opening up shop..................knowing they can't do it legally, but still bullying still the same.

Do hab fans have the legal right to wear a Habs jersey into the ACC??
It's not about their political and or religious beliefs.

I agree. we've beaten this issue of free speech to death, and exhausted every way to make a point.
I'm for freedom of speech, and against those who try to inhibit those who use that right and label them bigots and try and force them to change their POVs with threats.
Now please, would a Mod please lock this thread, and can we move on to some hockey topics svp?

I don't think you know what communism is.
So I guess that's the thing you're choosing to be wrong about now.
The only one against free speech here is you... at least, the free speech of minorities.

A gunman armed with a loaded Sig Sauer 9-millimeter pistol and additional ammunition, including two loaded magazines, was stopped from entering the Family Research Council in Washington, DC.
Family Research Council is a Christian, conservative based organization, that voiced it's support for Dan Cathy and supported and promoted the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day.
Eye witnesses said that the shooter was speaking out against the Family Research Council's Pro-Life, Pro-Family agenda as he tried to enter the building.
The gunman was quoted as saying "It was not about you, it was about what this place stands for."
The gunman also had 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in a backpack.
The gunman faces charges of transporting a gun across state lines and assault with intent to kill.
The Family Research Council has been involved in protecting traditional marriage nationwide.
It seems this Gunman was motivated by hate and anger, and does not like the Christian, conservative beliefs of FRC or Chick-Fil-A.
His hate was likely fuelled by left wing progressives and those Democratic Mayors who got on national TV and illegally and unconstitutionally threatened to use their government power to kick Chick-Fil-A out of their cities because of the personal Christian beliefs of the owner of Chick-Fil-A.
These left wing progressives call for tolerance of other people's beliefs, unless you are a Christian and then they don't seem to believe your beliefs should not be tolerated.
On another note, here is just one more example of how the left wing progressive media twists someones words around to fit their agenda, and explain to "You" what was really meant, and why they (Conservatives/Christians) are haters, and not the left wing progressive media spin doctors who put words into other peoples mouths.
