Funny thread of gayness.
Personally, instead of boycotting it, I think it would be hilarious if all gay people made Chick-Fil-A their hang out.
Could you imagine all chick-fil-a's nation wide all of a sudden being populated by homosexuals? Of course, straight people would stop going (people segregate themselves, this isn't prejudicial).. and CFA would become known as the "gay spot".
What would the company do? Shut down based on beliefs? Or would he take all that 'gay money'? - LOLKessel

Nice try but you failed starting with "Funny thread of gayness." You have missed the point. This thread isn't about 'gayness', whatever that is..., but about acceptance.
Second, stating "of course, straight people would stop going" is a ridiculous generalization. CFA would be known as the 'gay spot' by people in your world. In mine it would be known as a 'restaurant.' And by the way, certain people may distance themselves but people don't segregate themselves.
Nice try at being funny but I think you were more successful at exposing a degree of intolerance. The words we use are indicative of how we think. |

They are far more likely to get called on their grammatical mistakes, in any case. And then to whine about other people calling them out. |

I don't really care all that much about grammar in a forum, but I do care when people completely ignore what a person is attempting to get across, just to comment on the fact that they missed an apostrophe.
This discussion isn't meant to be a formal debate, and as long as there is an attempt at clarity, why focus on the unimportant?
Unless of course the speech is something like 'dun fret, imma tak car dis' etc... That I can't stand. |
