Do you have any experience wth the sanpera II footswitch?

Landing Doan over JT is better because we obviously don't have to give up any assets for Doan. What would be the price for Thornton? IMO what we would have to give up to get him would be selling our future away. If you think that the asking price for Ryan is high, imagine for Thornton. I would rather keep our team intact.

The only trade I would really make at this time is Leopold. Looking forward at the financial side of things, the Sabres will not have a lot of cap space after re-signing Hodgson, which makes me believe that this will be Leopold's last year with the team. We have a log-jam at defense and leopold is on the wrong side of 30. There will be many players expecting raises in the following year that they will have to plan for, like Foligno, probably Ennis again, McNabb etc.

Leopold can score 10 goals a year, he plays PP and is a much coveted puck moving Dman. He has trade value. I would probably wait until the trade deadline to trade him, because his value will probably be highest at that point. Bit I would be looking to trade him for a good prospect and a mid pick, before he walks for nothing. And if there is a team that would give that to me now for him, then I would take that trade, because I would rather McNabb play in the NHL all year to get ready in case we make the playoffs, rather than be adjusting after only getting called up for injuries and after a trade.

Other than that I like the roster. And I like Leopold too, but that is the only trade that makes sense to me, as I believe that trading for a top line anything in the current market, will be an overpayment and result in a net loss.
