I'm not really worried about is as many of the Flyers "prospects" are actually on the team and contributing. This fact also skews the rankings somewhat in my opinion.

Homer is hopefully going to stay the course and not be having a yearly fire sale on picks.

yes.

From a fan who only gets to see these prospects when they are called up or in the pre season games, I had some expectations for Kessel and to a lesser extent Akeson.
They both had some skill and shined in their preseason games last season. It sounds like Kessel took a step back and Akeson is maybe too small and one dimensional.

I do worry about his system especially with the slower defenseman pinching in at the blue line too much and getting caught.

I think Lavy will undoubtedly apply a slightly different philosophy considering the new players as you mention. MJL had some good ideas a couple pages back. I think situationally he needs to realize he cant go balls to the walls uber aggressive press with the personnel he has.

We definitely traded away the better players.

But ask that question again in, say, two years.

Our system is at an all time low here. What has happened to the Flyers bringing up there own players. There is no development.

There system is at an all time low because all their top prospects are blossoming for the big club. I have no issues with that. With how young this team is, they frankly won't need prospects for a while except for injury replacement callups

That doesn't necessarily mean the prospects will ever play for the big club, and that's how these trades will be judged.
