I would like to see the Pens pick up Coliacovo.
This is a big hit to the flyers d. He seemed to be coming into his own last year. Guess when pens v flyers it will be high scoring all year since we both have no defensive depth. - kgrpitt

If the FLyers LTIR Meszaros does that take a contract spot away. Like Bill's blog yesterday said they were at the max contracts... 40 I think, and can send 2 guys back to juniors... but cusins might be ready to take the next step no? How are we going to sign new guys if Mez and Pronger still count as contracts.. |

I mean I agree but not sure where that came from. hah
I can't believe Rangers didn't have to give up Del Zotto or McDonagh in that Nash deal. |

Apparently last week, while he was training in Slovakia. It means that the Flyers need another defenseman. - Jsaquella
Just saw this about Mesz. Not good at all. A move will have to be made now. I guess signing Colaicuovo might be an option but as Bill said, he's injury prone. |

The guy is 23 and has played 310 games over his first four seasons (77.5 games a year)... Also has potted consecutive 22 point seasons while being, realistically, a defensive d-man. He has led the NHL d-men in hits for the past two seasons and has a whopping total of 694 hits in his last 3 seasons alone. Im sure he will be fine.. - jak521
believe what ya want...he battled cody franson and mike komisarek for bottom-pairing minutes behind phanuef, gunnarson, gardiner and liles...
top-four is a reach |

k. he's played 63-68 games each of the last four years. not ideal, but neither is mesz's blown achilles. he's a good player when in the lineup. |

are you saying he can't improve at 23 years old? I know of a one Chris Pronger who struggled early in his career too before being traded and blossoming. |

Has anyone officially come out with a diagnosis? There are different types of tears. Like R.Howards was pretty bad, however I had a tear and it only took 2 months to get better. I also had a reptured sac behind the tendon. It might not be as bad as we all assume. |

60 some games isn't the end of the world either. UGh I give up, just hope they don't make a mega deal for an overpaid player like JBo |

No I'm just saying, its not uncommon for a player to improve past what he is at 23. It really isn't a new concept. |

He had surgery to repair a torn Achilles.. its gonna be much longer than a two month recovery. That ruptured sac behind the tendon is known as a bursa. |

Just because the names were used in a sentence doesnt mean its a direct comparison. Im fairly certain his point was that players have improved in the past after trades.. |

Roszival's stats from last year:
2011-12 Regular Season 54 1 12 13 8 34 49 2.0 0 0 0 0 0 19:20 80:17
2011-12 Postseason 15 0 0 0 -3 2 11 0.0 0 0 0 0 0 21:48
He'd be a nice band aid IMO who we could pair with Gervais/MAB. |

can't really compare person-to-person, but especially with howard because howard is fat and had that nasty infection (maybe because he's fat). |
