I'm not quite sure, but I think it only applies to kids of french descent, aka the ones who went to a french elementary school.
The French taught in anglo colleges is a few notches below the level of the English taught in franco colleges anyway.
It's only normal to make sure franco kids write and speak a good French, I think.
It's 'unfair' to the franco kids that wanted to go to an anglo CÉGÉP though.

none of that would really happen...I used to work in Ville St-Laurent, everything in the office was done in english, language in the workplace, internal communications, computer programs, billing, shipping/receiving, etc. Plus, they had that big sign when you entered the office saying that this business was approved by the Office de la Langue Française, saying that it met their standards.
It's all bullpoop, and it's not gonna change diddly squat. EE Anglophones can rest easy. |
