i'm still not convinced we're fine for next season
we'll be lucky to win one game against the rangers now that they have nash - 2Real
This off season will turn out to be a blessing in disguise because I think it forces Homer to let the kids grow. I don't think they are going to disappoint. NOT ONE team in the conference got significantly better in my opinion.
I think Nash is a good player but when you factor in his salary he is over rated. And I still think the Rangers sacrificed some grit and defensive ability, which in my opinion was why they won, for Nash. They are still better with him offensively, but they wont be as good defensively. Pittsburgh didn't really improve and Crosby is a question mark. The Devils didn't improve. The Icelanders are the Icelanders. Carolina is better, Tampa got Carle, Washington lost Semin. Florida is Florida. I don't really think Buffalo improved, Toronto may surprise but I doubt it. Is Montreal better?
I think the Flyers are still a solid 5 or 6 seed, in fact, I think they get there without much drama.

Seguin has another year under his belt boston will come out gunning
Miller will be back on his game this year and their younger players have more experience now
The more I look at the FA pool the more I want to avoid signing anyone.
Coliacovo wants a multi-year deal, but I wouldn't want to go 3 or 4 years with him, despite him being a solid player when healthy. Matt Gilroy is basically the same player as Randy Jones. Cam Barker had solid enough stats with the Oilers in 25 games, but he's a turnover machine and his advanced stats were all over the place.
Roszival and Spacek are coming off injuries and are over 35. Clark hasn't done a lot lately and is also over 35.
