So Bourdon takes a pay cut right? I thought his previous deal was around 800 per? Good value for the flyers providing he stays healthy - Just5
Odds he makes it through the season without a concussion? I say 2.7% |

I don't know why they even bothered re-signing him. In fact, why bother playing the Season at all?

Since the Flyers lead the Universe in concussions, maybe an idea for the crack medical staff... What do you think?

Not true, but still funny. |

I hear the idea that Carlson and PK offer sheets would be matched if low enough and if high enough a terrible deal for the Flyer. I am interested in the in between, where a team may be willing to make a "Gratton" type trade because it devalues the player and both teams walk away "happy." I am also interested in an in between offer sheet and how it could affect the trading of other players on said team. For example if Doan sings with the NYR then push them over the edge with a Del Zotto offer sheet.
I am NOT suggesting making offer sheets. I think trying to trade for one of these types of players could be a viable option if the cost is reasonable. I don't see that now that the blood is in the water for the Flyers.
I would sign one UFA and call it good. I would go with Coli or Rosy if either will take a 1 yr.
Here is a terrible article about offer sheets that has no depth in case you want to bash the idea more.

An in between Offer Sheet would be a veritable waste of time. And the article you posted has zero substance. All it does is reference past Offer Sheets, and then talks about what the Flyers have lost defensively. It gives zero insight into offering an OS to Subban or Del Zotto.
Trading for Subban or Del Zotto would be very expensive. And again cost would start with B. Schenn and Couturier. |

I'd still pass. I really want to see what MAB & Gus can do with increased roles. It's time to let it happen. |

I would also. I'm not giving that up for a 36 year old player. Even though he's a very good offensive defenseman. |

The playoffs are 8 months away. A lot can happen in that amount of time. The Flyers are going to be a playoff team in my opinion. |

Just because every move Holmgren tried to make failed, and just because Meszaros has torn his achilles before the season starts doesn't mean this "isn't our year"
This team is going places |

I agree I think we will be a power house in a few years but with all the young guys we have you mite have to expect a little drop off |

Flyers would have to trade up to get either one of those guys. They most likely won't have a top 10 pick, but this team could easily miss the playoffs as currently constructed. |

Why isn't it going places? Cups aren't won in the Summer. And there is plenty of time for other moves to be made. But if you want to continue to be negative , that is certainly your right. |
