I would think the Flyers would like to lock Hartnell up long term, if the team looks like they aren't going anywhere I think they owe it to Timonen to trade him somewhere he would have a chance to win. Guy has been a warrior.

An in between Offer Sheet would be a veritable waste of time. And the article you posted has zero substance. All it does is reference past Offer Sheets, and then talks about what the Flyers have lost defensively. It gives zero insight into offering an OS to Subban or Del Zotto.

Trading for Subban or Del Zotto would be very expensive. And again cost would start with B. Schenn and Couturier.

A lot can happen between now and April. With the injuries and loss of players to Free Agency, it's not as good as it has been. But moves can be made.

Perhaps, he was a much better player in Florida, not sure what happened to him in Calgary but he hasn't been the same player. A change of scenery might jump start his game, but the cap hit is an albatross.
