No 40Pt Gagner is Useless. we have enough #2 centers in Coho and Ennis and Grig's, Gagner is worse than all of those guys, he is a bust. Fans in edmonton were running on H.O.P.E. Hall, Omark,Paajarvi, Eberle. two of those guys aren't on the roster. Before that is was Cog's and Gagner are the Best, soon both will b gone. These two teams will not trade their top players so no deal will get done. What a shocker, hockey buzz with another rumor that nothing happens. I'll stick up for vanek...my math may be off but he has averaged 34 goals a season (post drury/briere)with no help up the middle....pretty good if you ask me. most of the goals he was probably taking a beating in front of the net....now he might have some talent to set him up(grigorenko)...not to mention he has a crazy good shot that he rarely get a chance to use

Ever think about the possibility that given the incredible overtures EK has made about minute signings like Joel Ward, POS players like Richard Park and standard trades like JVR for Schenn, the GI-(frank)ING-NORMOURS umbrella that is his use of the word 'major' might extend to nobodies like Leopold and Gagner?

Rather than assume it's RNH and Myers, why not assume that Ek gets overly excited about mere hockey minutia? Or better yet, assume the whole thing is a pack of lies.

Agree except for bolded. The idea that players hit their full potential much before 400 games played and/or much before the age of 25 has prominent examples post-lockout, but is still the exception rather than the rule.

OK, so the first overall pick from a year ago, who was a point per game player on the worst team in the league, is worth a center who was picked 12 or 14 in this, a weak draft.

yeah the majority of the people who are buffalonians live in the suburbs surrounding it. our city is really sad. poor city planing and corruption plus we are part of NY which kills us because of NYC. the good things is its cheap to live here, its easy to get around and you can take a 15 min drive from the city to the country.

I'm totally calm, I just think you're quite closed minded about this. You're adding Gagner as a precursor to another deal. I agree 100% that as it stands right now Buffalo has no need for him, but they could depending on what else they have in the works. And the simple fact is, if Gagner goes Edm wants a guy who can potentially be a 2C coming back. It's not gonna be 1 for 1.
