offensively, crosby played fairly well in that series. i will not say that overall, he was not bested by giroux though. however, giroux was subsequently shut right down in the next round. it happens. one only slightly above average round does not erase series such as the one against washington in the cup year. it was insane.

eh i honestly dont know. both have had their moments, and both have had their share of just being average. neither have ever completely disappeared save for being injured, but for their status and what they make, simply being average is disappointing. for whatever reason, malkin is at his best when crosby is out. both are still a little too prone to getting goaded into taking stupid penalties, but if thats the worst thing then ill take it
