Subban has 76 points in 160 games and is +2. how has that proven he is an elite talent? |

Subban is a great player, but Montreal fans think he's like the second coming of a guy like Stevens. He'll be a great top pairing physical, yet offensively talented defensemen. |

Sabres fans, whether you like it or not, the names that fit into this from the Edm side are Paajarvi, Gagner and Hartikainen. From Buffalo, you're probably talking about Regehr or Leopopld as the D-Man. As for the prospect, local boy Mark Pysyk would make sense, although I still have the is weird feeling that Edm really liked Grigorenko at the draft. Could be an extension of a deal that couldn't get done there....idk just my thoughts. |

your saying that a franchise center and a franchise left winger and maybe even a future franchise right winger in the Nuge, Hall and Yakupov would be a fair deal for Myers, the guy whos had 60 points in his last 135 games? - Oil_Addict
I think it woul be something like:
Myers, Pysyk and Enroth for RNH, Harti/Paaj, and a goalie |

I'd try and get Subban in a heartbeat, but he seems to be bad in the locker room and regressed last year |

Leo, Regehr and Pysyk. Honestly I could live with them gone. I would want good return.
-Leopold, good two way defender, smart, confident, knowledgeable, can score goals. Last year of his contract on a team with 10 d-men, 8 of which have newer deals. He's not getting resigned.
-Regehr did not play to his potential last year. Still solid PK guy, tough hitter and feared in the corners, but we can move on without.
- Pysyk they are saying a great skater and puck mover. One of our best prospects, but since he hasn't worn the uni yet, we can't miss him.

Interesting thought on Grigorenko.
We have the same thought on the trade. If it is Myers instead of Leopold/Sekera then Gagner would be upgraded to RNH |

The center referred to in this blog is Gagner. No questioning that. Hopkins is probably the most untouchable on the Oilers, so it's not him. I really have my doubts about this, as Buffalo has Hodgson and Ott already, and just drafted Grigorenko and Girgensons. Only way this makes sense is if Buffalo wants a run this year, and thinks Gagner can make a more immediate impact that Grig/Girg, and one of of them is heading back the other way. |

Gagner could fit in a number of places in the lineup and give them more options, so I could see that. It would likely mean Myers is off the table, however. |

Leopold or Sekera is the man on the move....Dream on about Myers...you dont give a guy a 10 million signing bonus only to trade him before he plays a game...C'mon MAN !! plus he has a NMC and NTC clause until 16-17 season...rubbish talk

I just still can't get over the fact that he was brought to Edmonton before the draft. One of three guys. The other two being Yakupov and Murray. There was no way that Grig was going #1. Something going on there IMO. Then you add the fact that Buffalo traded up to take Girgensons two picks later, can't help but wonder if they grabbed him with the knowledge a deal was in the works.... |
