Trust me, the Leafs won that deal, pretty sure that the majority of the hockey thinks so too.
You're going to love watching L. Schenn getting cooked to the outside on a nightly basis.
Coupled with a pair of aging 37 year D in Timmo and Lilja and a couple green D, Philly's D has a very good chance of being exposed this season and Bryzzy will cave. - As_I_See_It
Sometimes we yearn for the new because it may hold sercrets that the familiar has already given up. So I thought I'd compare our new D to some of the UFA D people are mentioning as well as some more established guys, to give some perspective. Focusing on Average Ice time as to how important a role they've played.
Gus and Bourdon have already been averaging more minutes than Schenn & Gervais and more than a lot of UFA's people have saying to grab. The 2 players that do play more minutes Colaiacovo & Rozinval racked up about 19 min per game. but both Gus and Bourdon's minutes were increasing.
Why am I bringing this up? Because I have been coming to the conclusion that Gus & MAB are players that ARE ready to step into the NHL and we do not know what they will eventually bring. I think that we are in a weird place because for the first time when the Flyers have holes on D, they might actually have young guys who can step up and fill those holes. And I don't know if Gervais will be sitting or playing when the season begins.
Edit: Gus & Bourdon were pulling in 17-20 minutes by the end of the year.

Using the trade proposal you made earlier as a barometer to your ability to accurately assess a fair trade, I'm not to worried about your above statement being true.
Also it's a typical response on forums such as this, that the player we traded to your team, really sucks, and your going to love him getting beat, blah, blah, blah, etc. etc.

PSSST!
You might have noticed that it was Flyers fans that went on the offensive first at every juncture of this dialogue.

Agreed. Typical. - As_I_See_It
Don't think so. The first dialogue was your ridiculous trade offer. What kind of response did you expect? Then when everyone pretty much intimated how ridiculous it was, you started telling us how Luke Schenn sucks, and how the Flyers are screwed because of their defense to paraphrase.
So let's get back on topic. I asked you to remove Franson and insert another player. What do you got?

I would call your original trade proposal offensive. The whackadoodle logic about the Flyers having to overpay for a defenseman doesn't follow, either.

Flyers won't overpay because there won't be a season
Given the state of Philly's D and even Homer's little Weber stunt, I think it's pretty safe to say that Homer will need to overpay a little to improve his D - As_I_See_It
Yeah, we will probably overpay a little bit, but it doesn't mean we've lost our sense of humor.
