Hey Chief! With all the talk this past little while about how Strome is nothing special and should be traded. I looked this article up. I dont know if you ever posted this. Its from one of your preferred (Credible) Hockey sites. It Profiles and ranks our top prospects. I found it informative. After reading this. If accurate. We may still be looking for a 1st pair "D" for the future to play beside Hamonic. If in fact he is a #1 or #2. And Lee maybe overrated by some fans.

I think I linked it last month, but either way it's a great article. I don't always agree with Pronman, but he does a really good job of thoroughly explaining why he feels one way or another about any given prospect.

We also may not need some stud defenseman to play with Hamonic. I could live without a superstar defenseman if we have fantastic depth in guys like Donovan, deHaan, Reinhart, Mayfield, Pedan, etc...

I agree.

I guess I could have found a better fight but I liked the fact that this video showed the big hit and his ability to defend himself.

And Not shy away from the confrontation, like many do.

The players in the NHL, these days, should be able to protect themselves.

If GM, I would have a team of hard-nosed, 2 way players. Go out and play hard, physical, defensively minded hockey. Roll 4 lines. Look for the hit, but not to put yourself in a bad or odd man position.

My team would be fit. I believe that in order to play the the highest level, you must be in crazy good shape. SO, I would have new strenght and training team available for the players. Working on over all core strenght and nutrition.

A great skating coach is a must. Work on every players skating ability and improve speed and lateral movement. That is just a start.

I don't want the job. I am holding out for a better chance to win the cup.

These are a couple of things that every team can work on, independent of talent and money. Or much money. Does not cost much to get in great shape, and everyone can constantly work on their skating.

$1,000 to see you skate backwards on one skate cutting left and right without falling down. You can send me video. We'll post it here big mouth. Won't even ask you to jump. I can do it but it doesn't look as pretty as when they do it.

Did you forget what xXx said?

That Wang is the ice under his feet while he sails with Garth Snow.... . Ummm?

Well something like that!

Anyway, he's got to be a good skater.

If it were from the SW. The temps would be pushing 100 degrees.

Not familiar with the local geographical micro thermo climate in this area?

I'm sure he's a good player but they have Nelson and Lee as good center prospects. I think if you can get a "blue chip" power forward like Bobby Ryan, you put Strome in the package.
- kear20

I don't disagree with Ryan but don't put too much faith in Lee and Nelson like so many seem to have on here with all of our prospects. Give them some time and see what happens.

Your late 178. Someone here already posted that he's to small and weak. Nothing more than a perimeter player and relies on his team mates to much. Yea he sucks big time.

What was his name again?

- SCLI

I'm surprised. Jimcccc usually waits till they are traded before he starts ragging on them?

Overrated by some fans on Hockeybuzz? That would be definite, that's even if all of them hit their ceilings.
